Three Cool Free Things for Blogs and Businesses

Today is a day for saying thank you and passing on advice that has helped me. One of the many cool things about the Internet is the wealth of free information out there to help the newbie business person. I have learned more about blogging and internet marketing browsing the web then anywhere else.

Todays post was inspired by Business Blogwire's Free Blogging Tips for My Second Blogging Birthday. To celebrate his blog's birthday the author has generously agreed to check out the site of anyone who emails him. He will then email back 5 free blogging tips for your specific blog. I'm very interested to see what he has to say.

So far the most helpful free information I have found is eMoms at Home 10 Days to a Better Blog. I signed up for the class even though I'm usually wary of sites that ask for an email address to get the free information. I found the class a wealth of information I'm still slowly implementing. I've also only gotten one email from the website since the class ended over a month ago.

Finally my very favorite free site is the one that makes this site possible, Drupal. Drupal is an open source (free) content management platform. Instead of having to code a site from scratch you install Drupal and any add on modules you want and configure. In a very short time you have a site up and running. For some cool ideas on what can be done with Drupal check out their Showcase forum.

Congratulations!

Hi there,

I found your site through eMoms. I just wanted to say that I love the look of what you have here, and I'll definitely be sticking around. It's definitely a popular goal, to run a business from home so we can watch our kids grow up. Good for you for making it happen. (I love the clean look of the site, by the way...)

Thank you!

Thank you! :) You are officially my first comment from someone I haven't met. I just start reading your IttyBiz site from eMoms too! I'm really enjoying it!
